Unfortunately the 2020 Southeastern Regional Environmental Justice Conference is postponed until further notice in accordance with best practices for mitigating the spread of COVID-19 (the novel coronavirus). We will update our website with new information as soon as we receive it. 

ABOUT THE CONFERENCE

Promote methods of community/academic engagement for addressing regional Environmental Justice, health disparity and climate change issues.

Determine ways to improve Environmental Justice curriculum, research, teaching, and service opportunities at higher education institutions.

We are working to build sustainable partnerships of regional, vulnerable communities and area colleges and universities to address the challenges of environmental injustices and disparate health impacts. The Southeastern Regional Environmental Justice Conference is focused on two main objectives - 

With over 20 environmental justice experts, students and community advocates from all over the southeast, the Southeastern Regional Environmental Justice Conference will facilitate important  conversations and community connections. Environmental Justice principles are relevant across many disciplines – just checkout our list of speakers!
